Restoration!

Okay I have 5 minutes left here at the library...here goes:

Today may you be completely restored from the fragmented self-image that has been damaged by heartbreak and rejection, and from the arrested development that you have experienced because of the dysfunction of your past surroundings and influences.

The power of God is stronger than all the hurt and pain in your life, and He is able to turn the tide of destruction into a RIVER OF LIFE for you!

(from A YEAR IN THE NOW-BISHOP JIM SWILLEY).
THANKS KETTLY FOR THE REMINDER ABOUT RESTORATION.

Blessings and great joy to all here!

FREE TO...

Through You the blind will see
Through You the mute will sing
Through You the deaf will hear

Through You my heart screams - "I am free!"

I am free to run
I am free to dance
I am free to live for You
I am free...I am free.

(taken from a Newsboys song I heard this morning)
-------

I speak freedom from guilt over you, freedom from depression and heaviness, freedom from anxiety.
Let there be freedom from worry, freedom in your mind and freedom from self-condemnation. You are loved no matter what!

You are free to enter into the joy of the Lord...where your true strength lies...so enter...enter in.
I say that you are free from striving to earn grace...just stop it.
Jump into the river of joy in the Spirit of God!

It's MY WILL to bow and praise You. I will praise my God!

So tell me...or ask yourself..."WHAT do you want freedom from TODAY?"...Speak it out and over yourself.

EXPECTATION!

The first thing that hit me when I got on here today was that what I wrote on Monday was such an incredible word to me today.
FORGET ABOUT YESTERDAY!
I had a very difficult experience with a man while working (rude, disrespectful, angry) but I had to keep going...it was just so unexpected.

Today I had to get up and make myself say...it's over, don't worry about it...EXPECT great things today...and you know what? I got it.

It was interesting that before I went out I had gotten a call from a friend and he asked how I was doing...and I said..."I'M PREGNANT!" Because of the context of our conversation already, I think he knew what I meant.

Also something really cool was the first line in a devotional I read before getting on here said "I will live in the now because my attitude of EXPECTANCY is creating for me today an atmosphere in which miracles can be incubated and birthed! I was born for the miraculous...(AYITN, Bishop Jim Swilley)

Gotta go for now, but I'm hoping to post again by noon tomorrow. I'm planning (expecting) to have some time to add some more songs soon and write a little more...got a lot of thoughts so I pray good time management over myself.
Thank you to those who are already posting...Emily and Everardo I made a comment to you guys on yesterday's post. God bless!

FORGET ABOUT YESTERDAY!

Today I will not beat myself up because of yesterday's performance.

I can't change it in the first place and, secondly, I don't need to change it, even if I could. I will focus on today and on how I can make things better by learning from my mistakes. Failure will force me into faith and keep me looking ahead, creating a real desire within me to improve my skills and to be and do better. ALL the things that I have experienced will work together for my good!
(taken from A Year In The Now-Biship Jim Swilley)

I'm not going back, I'm looking ahead, I'm here to declare to you...my past is over!

okay guys...I say to you..."enjoy the power of the moments but keep moving forward", even the quiet moments of planning things are moving you forward.

Hold on to your merry heart today...give thanks, for a joyful heart makes a face cheeful.

Any of you remember the band BOSTON?...well, "don't look back, a new day's breaking, it's been so long since I felt this way"
...the road is calling...TODAY IS THE DAY!

CHEERS!

Do any of you know where or how this expression came about?

I haven't looked it up yet but it came to my mind last night at the dinner table.
My first thought was maybe it was to celebrate something or that despite whatever is going on in my life, maybe it will help me CHEER UP simply by the act of clinging the glass in agreement!

"He who is of a merry heart has a continual feast!" - Proverbs 15:15

So, here's to joy...here's to pursuing it...here's to good news coming your way to strengthen your bones. May your heart be tranquil giving life to your body today. I lift my glass to you and simply say, "cheers!"

-----by the way, check out the photo at the VERY bottom, still trying to learn how to incorporate pictures...it's of my son and I raising our glasses.

DON'T WORRY!

Just keeping in touch on my way home wanting to say to you all...please don't worry about things...it will rob you of your joy.

Enjoy the joy God has given you today! Sit somewhere quiet for a few minutes, watch a dandelion dance, the grass wave, the buds blossom.
Observe the birds...fill up their feeder...maybe now is a good time to get one.

Please take moments to relax...be thankful...call a friend just to say hello.
Plan your garden, or help someone with theirs. I speak freedom from worry to you today...be blessed!

Vision for moving forward!

This is what has been speaking to me today...enjoying the now moments but knowing that you are moving forward. Having a vision for something and letting it propel you into the future.
Having a vision will keep you and I going, and keep us believing. Believe that you are growing, climbing, and excelling!*

For whatever you think of Susan Boyle (latest British idol), many have come to be reminded that there is more on the inside than on the outside. To keep moving forward when the audience (a big one at that) is already snickering at you takes a lot of hutspah!(is that Jewish-somebody help me), and guts (oh yeah, which are on the inside, too).
...but look where her VISION has taken her and is taking her...and the example of setting her face like a flint...I think it has opened many people's eyes.
So be encouraged and let the real you begin emerging today!

Good-bye past...good-bye yesterday...good-bye comfort zone...hello new...hello now...hello transformation...hello revelation.*

Please blog if you've read something that has spoken and connected with you...what are your thoughts?
Do you also like any of the music so far? Thanks guys!

*-It is an honor for me to mention that some of the things I mentioned above were inspired by or taken from AYITN(a year in the now), a beautiful devotional written by Bishop Jim Swilley, founder and Senior Pastor of Church in the Now, Conyers, Georgia.

...(oh yeah...I sing there, too...love it!)

Merry Heart!

A merry (joyful) heart does good like a medicine...Proverbs 17:22

This is my first post, my first blog, and I look forward to the first comment. May this blog grow into a wonderful flow through many people, and nourish many of your spirits through laughter, thankfulness, and things that help lift you up and push sadness away.

Create your own happiness today.
I speak over your mind and heart and say "Be relieved from the stress of feeling overwhelmed."

Be productive and a joy to be around. The fruit of the Spirit is JOY!

Let us heal each other and bind up the wounded and broken spirits...let's laugh together, celebrate together.

What did you smile about today?...let me know. Did you laugh at anything?

Did you sing anything? Did you write that "THANK YOU" note to someone?...oops, I've got a few of those to write that are quite belated...gotta go.
